Searching iDevon is easy, and very powerful too. Here are a few tips to help you find what you're looking for.
- Businesses in a Category
The most popular way to search is by category. For example, you can search for plumbers or doctors. Your search will be carried out across the whole of Devon.
- Using Place Names
Just type in the town and what you're looking for, and iDevon will do the rest. For example Budleigh Salterton plumbers or plumbers in Budleigh Salterton.
- Using Postcodes
You can also use postcodes or partial postcodes in your search. For example plumbers in EX31 3HR or for a list of matching businesses in a postcode, simply search for EX31 3HR.
- Area Codes
Instead of using place names or postcodes, you can also use telephone area codes to find businesses. For example plumbers in 01271.
- Neighbouring Counties
Not only do we operate iDevon but we've also got plenty of other county sites too. You can search for plumbers in Essex and presto! You're taken straight to iEssex with your search results. This means you can have iDevon as your homepage, but still search neighbouring counties.
- Caller ID Search
If you've had a missed call on your phone, and you don't know who it is, iDevon might know. Simply type in the phone number, like 01271 344274.
- Navigating The UK
Feel like having a wander around the UK to see what's going on? By typing just the name of a county, you're taken directly to the site's homepage! Try it now with Essex and Berkshire.
- Other Search Engines
Now you can search the rest of the web too, using Google, Yahoo, MSN and Altavista. Just type the name of the search engine followed by your query, for example google how stuff works will search Google for you. Another reason to set iDevon as your homepage!
